REQUIREMENTS / TESTS / EVIDENCE

Testing & validation.

Clear requirements. Reliable evidence.

We turn requirements into repeatable tests and clear evidence. Verification checks the agreed specification; validation assesses whether the product meets its intended use in the agreed operating conditions.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Tests that answer the right questions.

Engage us for a focused investigation, a repeatable test bench or a wider verification programme. We agree on the coverage, tested configuration and acceptance criteria before execution.

Requirements-based verification

Connect each test to the requirement it checks and make the pass or fail decision clear.

  • Test plans, traceability and coverage reviews
  • Defined inputs, expected results and acceptance limits
  • Recorded hardware, software and configuration versions

Integration & bench testing

Check how software, electronics and interfaces behave together under defined conditions.

  • Functional checks, measurements and protocol testing
  • Timing, start-up, shutdown and communication behaviour
  • Controlled fault simulation, recovery checks and test fixtures

Automation & regression

Make important checks repeatable so changes can be assessed against a known baseline.

  • Automated test scripts and instrument control
  • Software, model-based and hardware test sequences
  • Data logging, result comparison and report generation

Intended-use validation

Evaluate the complete product through representative tasks and operating scenarios.

  • User workflows and system-level acceptance scenarios
  • Normal operation, interruptions and recovery
  • Documented findings, limitations and acceptance decisions

EXAMPLE APPLICATION

Verify an embedded release

Check command handling, measurements, communication timing and recovery after a software change, with results linked to the tested build.

Example test report structure

An illustrative structure for an agreed test report:

  1. Requirement and acceptance limit
  2. Hardware, software and test configuration
  3. Procedure, inputs and measured results
  4. Pass/fail decision, issue references and retest evidence
  5. Coverage, limitations and review record

Create a repeatable bench test

Connect a device, test fixture and measurement equipment to run agreed checks and produce a consistent result record.

Validate an operator workflow

Exercise the application and connected hardware through representative user tasks, including connection loss, invalid inputs and recovery.

HOW WE WORK

From requirements to handover.

Plan the evidence before running the tests. Record the results, investigate deviations and repeat the affected checks after changes.

  1. Agree on the test scope

Review requirements, intended use and available evidence. Define coverage, acceptance criteria, responsibilities and any specialist test needs.

  2. Prepare the test setup

Identify the test configuration and required measurement equipment. Build procedures, scripts, fixtures and representative input data.

  3. Execute and investigate

Run the agreed checks, capture measurements and record deviations. Separate product issues from problems in the setup or test procedure.

  4. Retest and report

Repeat affected tests after corrective changes and review the evidence against the acceptance criteria. Document coverage and unresolved limitations.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

What you receive.

  • Test plan, acceptance criteria and requirements-to-test mapping
  • Agreed test procedures, scripts and test-bench configuration
  • Results linked to the tested hardware, software and configuration
  • Issue log, retest evidence and a summary of coverage and remaining limitations

Scope and delivery arrangements

Requirements, operating conditions, test equipment, configurations and acceptance criteria are agreed before execution. Specialist laboratory testing and certification activities are scoped separately when required.

Test methods, equipment, measurement needs and reporting are agreed for the project. Environmental, EMC and other specialist laboratory activities can be coordinated with suitable external facilities when included in the scope.

LET’S DEFINE THE NEXT STEP

What needs to be demonstrated?

Describe the product, its requirements, the current version and the behaviour to check. Mention any existing test results or open issues.
